Your mind influences your emotions, your emotions shape your actions, and your actions reinforce your beliefs.

It’s a cycle, and hypnotherapy works at the root (your subconscious mind) to break unhelpful loops and build empowering new ones. That’s when true transformation happens.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a depth-based, exploratory approach that focuses on understanding why certain patterns exist, not just how to change them. This work gently uncovering the emotional root cause behind behaviours, reactions, or recurring life patterns.

Hypnotherapy helps you break free from deep-rooted patterns by working directly with your subconscious mind, the part of you that stores habits, memories, and beliefs. Instead of just addressing the surface symptoms, we get to the root cause and reprogram old loops into healthier ones.

Working at this deeper level often brings long-held emotional truths into conscious awareness, making change feel more natural.

Using a relaxed, trance-based state, we work with the subconscious mind to trace experiences back to their origin. This may include early life events, emotionally charged memories, or unresolved experiences that are still influencing your thoughts, feelings, or behaviour today.

Many clients describe this process as detective-like, we carefully following emotional threads, identifying triggers, and making sense of patterns that previously felt confusing or automatic. Once the root cause is understood, meaningful and lasting change can unfold naturally from there.

Techniques may include:

• Hypno analysis to identify the root cause of patterns
• Subconscious reprogramming
• Inner child and parts work
• Regression to earlier experiences
• Therapeutic suggestion and metaphor
• Working with emotional memory and neural pathways

Best for: deep emotional patterns, long-standing issues, unexplained reactions, attachment wounds, and situations where insight alone hasn’t been enough.

Relationship Therapy

(Individual Hypnotherapy with Optional Couples Integration)

Relationships can face challenges even when there is love and commitment. Difficulties with communication, intimacy, trust, or repeating patterns can leave couples feeling stuck, disconnected, or misunderstood.

My primary focus is individual hypnotherapy, supporting each person to explore and heal their own subconscious patterns, emotional triggers, and relational imprints. As individuals gain clarity and emotional regulation, meaningful change within relationships often follows naturally.

Where appropriate, couples sessions may be offered as an optional integration, only when both partners are willing to engage in their own individual hypnotherapy work. Couples sessions focus on understanding the shared dynamic, improving communication, and integrating individual insights into the relationship space.

This work is not about blame, fixing one person, or saving a relationship at all costs. The purpose is awareness, emotional responsibility, and clarity. As individuals reconnect with themselves, the relationship may evolve, sometimes toward deeper connection, and sometimes toward a cleaner, healthier separation.

Individual hypnotherapy sessions are always confidential. Any insights brought into couples sessions are shared only with full consent and at a pace that feels safe and appropriate.

This approach may support you to:

  • Rebuild trust, intimacy, and emotional connection

  • Improve communication and reduce recurring conflict

  • Explore psychosexual concerns in a sensitive, supportive way

  • Understand individual emotional patterns impacting the relationship

Individual Relationship & Emotional Pattern Healing Through Hypnotherapy

Many relationship difficulties are driven by subconscious emotional imprints formed long before the current relationship. These may show up as fear of abandonment, difficulty trusting, emotional shutdown, people-pleasing, or anxious attachment.

Through one-to-one hypnotherapy, we explore the emotional roots of these patterns rather than trying to change behaviour on the surface. By identifying where these responses were first learned, the nervous system can soften, allowing new relational experiences to emerge naturally, without force or pressure.

NLP

Transform your life by tapping into the power of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), a practical, results-focused approach that helps you rewire how you think, feel, and behave. NLP works by identifying the subconscious patterns and limiting beliefs that hold you back, then guiding you to replace them with healthier, more empowering responses.

In practice, NLP helps you:

  • Break unwanted habits and compulsive behaviours

  • Shift unhelpful thought patterns

  • Build confidence, motivation, and emotional resilience

In my sessions, NLP is often blended into hypnotherapy while you’re in a relaxed, receptive state. This allows changes to embed more quickly and deeply at a subconscious level. NLP is result focused and forward moving.

NLP is particularly effective for:

• Confidence and performance blocks
• Anxiety responses and overthinking
• Phobias and emotional triggers
• Habit change (including comfort eating, nail biting, or avoidance patterns)
• Mindset shifts around success, boundaries, and self-worth

Techniques may include:

Reframing to shift perspective and emotional meaning
Anchoring to access calm, confidence, or motivation on demand
Pattern interruption to stop automatic reactions
Future pacing / Visualisation to install new behaviours

Above all, NLP empowers you to transform your mindset, shifting from reactive patterns to a more proactive, resourceful, and empowered way of living. Best for: behaviour change, habits, confidence, mindset shifts, emotional triggers

Reiki

Restore Balance & Flow

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice that helps the body shift out of “stress mode” and into its natural state of balance. When you’re stressed or anxious, your nervous system stays in a constant state of alert (fight-or-flight), which can drain your energy and affect sleep, focus, and overall wellbeing.

Reiki activates the relaxation response, guiding your body toward a calmer parasympathetic state. In this state, your heart rate slows, breathing deepens, and your body can prioritise healing and recovery. Many clients describe feeling lighter, clearer, and more grounded after a session.

Sessions can support you to:

  • Reduce stress and quiet an overactive mind

  • Improve sleep and promote relaxation

  • Ease tension in the body

  • Support emotional regulation and resilience

  • Complement hypnotherapy or NLP by creating a calmer, more receptive state for change

Reiki doesn’t replace medical care, but it works alongside it to support your body’s natural capacity to restore balance and wellbeing.

  • Hypnotherapy is a gentle therapeutic approach that guides you into a deeply relaxed and focused state, similar to daydreaming. In this state, your subconscious mind becomes more open to positive suggestion, insight and emotional release, while you remain fully aware and in control.

It can support change around habits, confidence, anxiety, stress, sleep patterns, self-belief and emotional responses, helping you create new ways of thinking and feeling in everyday life.

During hypnotherapy, the mind moves into a calm, focused state similar to meditation. This is often associated with slower, more relaxed brainwave activity, which helps the subconscious become more open to positive change, while you remain fully aware and in control.

  • Meditation is typically used to quiet or empty the mind, helping you cultivate inner calm, awareness, and emotional balance.

Hypnotherapy works at a deeper therapeutic level and is goal-focused. You’re guided into a relaxed state where your subconscious mind becomes more receptive to change, so specific habits or emotional responses can be reshaped.

  • Hypnosis feels different for everyone, and there’s no single ‘right’ way to experience it.

Most people describe it as feeling deeply relaxed and calm, a bit like daydreaming or drifting just before sleep, while still being aware of your surroundings and able to hear everything that’s said.

Some people notice physical sensations, such as:

    • arms or legs feeling heavy
    • the body feeling light or floaty
    • a sense of stillness or softness in the body

All of these are normal. Others simply feel neutral and relaxed with no strong sensations at all, and that is also completely valid.

Some people feel more inwardly focused or aware. Others notice their mind wandering and worry they “weren’t paying attention”, but this is normal too. The subconscious mind is always listening and processing, even when the conscious mind drifts.

People may come out of trance feeling:

    • peaceful or emotionally lighter
    • clear and reflective
    • neutral, with insights arising later

There is no “right” response, change can integrate during the session, or gently in the hours and days afterwards.

You remain in control the entire time.

  • No, you are always in control during hypnotherapy.

Hypnosis does not take over your mind or make you do anything you don’t want to do, and it cannot make you reveal anything you wish to keep private. You can speak, move, open your eyes, or stop the session at any time.

Rather than “mind-control”, hypnosis gently bypasses the critical faculty , the analytical filter between the conscious and subconscious mind. This allows us to access the deeper beliefs, patterns and emotional imprints that shape how you think, feel and respond.

Sometimes, memories, images or emotional sensations may naturally arise during a session. You are never forced to share them, however, if something meaningful comes up and you feel safe to express it, talking through the experience can be a powerful part of the therapeutic process, particularly in regression or inner-child work, where we explore and release the emotional imprint held in the subconscious.

A small part of the conscious, protective mind always remains present, which means:

    • you stay aware
    • your personal boundaries remain intact
    • your values and free will are always respected

Hypnosis helps you reconnect with your deeper self and reshape old emotional patterns, it does not override your mind or control your behaviour.

  • YES! But only if you want it to. Hypnotherapy can be highly effective, particularly when you’re genuinely ready for change and willing to engage in the process.

Hypnotherapy doesn’t “override” your willpower. If you’re doing it to prove someone else wrong, or because another person wants you to change (for example, a partner wanting you to stop smoking), your critical mind (critical faculty) will resist, and the work is unlikely to be effective.

When you do want change for yourself, your subconscious becomes much more receptive. In this state we can work with the deeper emotional patterns, beliefs and habits that drive your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

Like any therapeutic approach, results vary from person to person, but many clients notice meaningful shifts, sometimes quite quickly especially when they also apply insights and practices between sessions.

Hypnotherapy works best when you’re ready, open, and choosing the change for you.

  • Yes, hypnotherapy is considered safe when practised by a trained professional.

Hypnosis is simply a natural state of focused relaxation that we all drift in and out of during daily life, such as when daydreaming or just before falling asleep. You remain aware, and in control, throughout the process.

However, hypnotherapy may not be suitable for everyone. If you are currently experiencing severe mental health conditions (such as psychosis or certain dissociative conditions), this approach is unlikely to be the most appropriate route for you. In these cases, I always recommend speaking with your GP or mental health provider first.

If you’re unsure whether hypnotherapy is right for you, feel free to contact me, I’m happy to talk it through.

  • Most of my hypnotherapy sessions take place face-to-face, as many clients prefer the depth and connection of working together in person.

For clients who are unable to attend in person, I also offer online hypnotherapy sessions via a secure Zoom connection. These run in exactly the same way, and you’ll just need a quiet space, a stable internet connection and somewhere comfortable to sit or lie down.

Some clients find that working from home helps them relax more easily, so online sessions can be just as effective as in-person therapy.

  • Both hypnotherapy and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) work with the subconscious mind, but they use slightly different tools:

    • Hypnotherapy guides you into a deeply relaxed state where your subconscious is more open to change. In this state, we can access root causes, release old patterns, and create new positive associations.

    • NLP uses specific language patterns, reframing, and mental strategies to shift your perspective, emotional responses and behaviour.

In my practice, I often blend the two depends on the clients. An NLP technique might be introduced within a hypnotherapy session, so you get the benefits of both approaches. Hypnotherapy creates the deep foundation for lasting change, while NLP adds practical tools to help you shift how you think and feel in everyday life.

  • Reiki (pronounced ray-key) originates from the Japanese word rei-ki (霊気), meaning “Universal Life Force” or “Spiritual Energy”.

In the West, Reiki is known as a gentle, hands-on complementary therapy that helps the body relax, release tension and restore emotional and energetic balance. The practitioner channels Reiki energy through their hands, while the recipient’s body directs the energy to wherever it is needed most.

Reiki is non-invasive and most clients experience a sense of calm, warmth or deep rest during and after a session.

  • Yes. Reiki is a completely safe and natural complementary therapy that can be used on its own or alongside other treatments.

Reiki does not replace conventional medical care, and if you have a diagnosed medical condition, you should continue to follow the guidance of your GP or healthcare professional.

Most clients find Reiki deeply calming and supportive as part of their overall wellbeing journey.

  • During a Reiki session you remain fully clothed and sit or lie comfortably in a supported, relaxed position. I place my hands just above, different areas of the body to support the natural flow of Reiki energy without physical touch.

The experience is calming and deeply relaxing, and you remain awake and aware throughout.

Everyone experiences Reiki differently. Some people feel warmth, tingling or a gentle heaviness in the body, others feel lightness or a floating sensation. Some people experience emotional release, while others simply feel peaceful and rested.

There is no “right” way to feel, whatever you experience is simply your body processing and releasing what it no longer needs at that time.
